Aeriform fabric has characteristics similar to Gore-Tex, utilizing lightweight microfiber technology for the ultimate in weather protection and comfort. But, it's a light, woven material and not simply a membrane. This is NOT plastic, PVC or the rubbery stuff you'll find elsewhere.

The jacket features two-way zipper, full-snap front with inner storm flap, detachable zip-off hood, stand up collar, back yoke venting, two chest pockets with snap closure flaps, two lower cargo double-entry pockets with shell loops and side entry with hand-warmer fleece. The jacket has a nylon inner liner, but it's NOT insulated. It is well-sized for layering though, and will fit tall builds easily. This is remarkable gear, and we bet it's among the best you'll find anywhere regardless of size.

SIZING TIP LaCrosse put the size labels in these Parkas, but our tape measure says they are wrong (about 2 sizes off). What they have labeled as a 5X really fits like a big 3XL. We want them to fit you, so we sell them sized by our size chart. So, we have 3XL (5X label in the jacket), 4X (6X label), 5X (7X label) and 6X (8X label) jackets. Sold this way, they match our size chart, and they measure BIG for wearing over your clothes, so there's no need to order up a size or two since we did that for you.
